Joined PM Jan 2010..alhamdulillah qualified for the NSC Challenge trip to North Island, NZ 2011.. never been to NZ, was sooooo excited to go... Departed 19 May, 2011 thru SIA Airlines...arrived early morning in Auckland...

From the airport...straight for lunch at the Skycity Grand Hotel...all halal food prepared for us throughout the 7 days staying there...:)

along the way..saw the people in the Bungy Ride...in the middle of the city...wowww!!!!

210512..Second day.. in front of our hotel in Auckland...getting ready to leave for 5-hour drive to Rotorua...

Rotorua Lake....second largest lake in North Island of New Zealand...breathtakingly beautiful!

The best part of this trip is the delicious fresh halal meat prepared for us.... now having lunch at Agrodome - BBQ lamb and chicken and of course kiwi fruits...

After lunch...we headed to TE PUIA - the premier Maori cultural centre - a place of gushing waters, steaming vents, boiling mud pools, and spectacular geysers.

230512..First stop of the day..Wairakei Geothermal Power..the first of its type in the world (wet steam), however soon to be replaced by another geothermal power station..

Next, to the Taupo Bungy jumping, lies in the midst of public track between the Taupo township and the mighty Huka Falls..and it sets above the clear and fresh waters of the Waikato River..

anyone..? Dare to jump...not me though...:p.. Extremely excited seeing the 10 ppl from our group volunteered the bungy jumping...Kudos to them..:)

Nearby the Taupo Bungy Jumping, lies the largest lake by surface area in NZ which is LAKE TAUPO....soooo beautiful..

Right after lunch...we took the best ride ever...half an hour of thrills, fun, and excitement along a beautiful river environment, lined with native bush, sheer rock cliff face and natural hot springs...huhuhu!!!!!

It was already dark when we reach Skyline Rotorua..so no chance for us to try the luge - a fun filled ride on a three wheel cart..danggg....so we just took the Skyline cable car and had a buffet dinner at the peak of the mountain...at the Skyline Cableway restaurant...
